Recently, I have learned that this film is a classic, and it’s based on a classic book. The book was good, I just had to skip some rambling by the author. The film feels a little like it was filmed 20 years earlier than 1987, its acting more on the theatrical side. The princess herself and a couple of other actors were really unamusing, however some others compensated it with double effort. All in all, it’s an okay old romantic comedy.
