Some online comments left an impression on me that I have missed a classic movie 20 years ago. It’s got decent ratings and has even started a franchise. All that might be true, but I was not really impressed. Some of its ingredients were decent, like the general idea, costumes, and a few action scenes. But I guess the plot was too mysterious, and the acting without a backstory not entirely convincing. The mess of the final shootout became the cherry on top. I guess I haven’t missed much after all.
