This movie tries to avoid clichés: an ice hockey player *becomes* mentally challenged by getting a brain trauma due to reckless behaviour *not during the game*. As a tribute to Memento, the guy can't remember things and writes everything down, also one of the key plot elements is "Start from the end". And then some criminals try to use him to achieve their goals, but not because he's forgetting stuff. Too bad his nice and wise blind companion can't change anything.
