Language Lessons —  7/10

movie poster, courtesy of IMDb

A guy gets a present of a hundred Spanish lessons at a leisure pace, and they happen online, so these video calls are all we get to see. They unavoidably reflect the events in the real life of the teacher and the student, and the story slowly becomes touching and heartfelt. As the student is gay, there’s no romance, and the plot focuses on other emotions. All in all, this is a very nice small-scale movie, well deserving the praise it has received.
