Time after time I find original Netflix content lacking, and this was no exception. Yes, it enchants you a bit with bright colors and songs and patterns, but soon as you try to look past this, the substance evaporates. I also found the adaptation of typical anime clichés way less elegant than in Turning Red or in Puss in Boots. So if these don’t bother you and you can turn your brain off for an hour, this would be a fun movie to watch.
