The singular goal of this movie seems to be pushing an idea to young people: value the current moment and enjoy it. I wonder if the makers wanted to contrast it somehow to the already delightful life of the protagonist, full of friends, love, sex, drugs, and anticipation. Well, she becomes even happier, even despite a gloomy foreboding. I guess that makes it a feel-super-good movie.
