I wish I knew in advance that this was a screening of a comic book, this would have made a bunch of turns less surprising. Alas, I didn’t expect the forced sentimentality moments, the impossible coincidences, the literal magic superpower. Commendable hyperrealism of the environment makes the comic elements stand out even more awkwardly. On the other hand, compared to the common kung-fu movies, the violence here results in a more realistic damage. So watch it for the action and the backgrounds, not for the plot and logic. Not for a manic laugh either.
